Great results with nurse today

Postby hanadr » Thu Feb 04, 2010 11:23 am

I was afraid that Christmas and the UTI I had before it would have scuppered my Hba1c. It hasn't 5.1% :D I'm heading for the 4s sofa next. total cholesterol 3, taking Simvastatin ocasionally, because I like my doctor and he told me to. HDL 1.8, LDL 0.9 triglyerides 0.6 ratio 1.67.
Weight down 3 kg and waist down by 5 cm. on 6 months ago
Feet. Monofilament test 10/10
Vibration test 7, on both feet( normal is 4 and above.
Obviously the diet works. This was a young nurse standing in for the Angel. Who I'll arrange to see next time, at the 6 month point.
Nurse Holly, the young one, thinks the diet is fine and that the results show it.

Hana, that is just wonderful news, just shows all over again what can be achieved with correct diet and exercise.
You are an amazing woman, and you are not only dealing with your own diabetes, but with your husbands as well, what an inspiration and example you are, truly!!
All the best

It's worth the effort and I truly never feel deprived.

Yes Hana - great numbers those! Congratulations!

Words such as "amazing" and "inspiring" will do for me too because you are.

I know that you will have been disappointed not to get your HbA1c under 5 but 5.1% is an absolutely superb number anyway. You will do it eventually - I'm confident of that!

Very best wishes - John
T2 Dx Nov 2000 - then - HbA1c 5.7 - Chol 7.0 - BP 164/109
Metformin, Simvastatin, Rampiril, Bisoprolol
HbA1c - 9.4 > 7.2 > 6.7 > 8.5 > 6.8 > 5.7 > 5.5 > 5.3 > 5.1 > 5.0%
Chol - 5.3 > 4.2 > 3.1 > 3.7
BP now 105/60

Hana, those are absolutely fabulous results and I'm just delighted for you! :D
You could hardly be more deserving. The tireless effort you put into helping other diabetics on the internet is pretty reliable measure of what a fine, compassionate and intelligent person you are.
Now, about those statins...........
