When I was taking insulin when pregnant, I had the same kind of delay. My postprandial readings were still elevated, but I hypo'd within the next hour or two - even if I had a snack.
My antenatal/diabetic consultants were adamant that the insulin (novorapid) that I was using only acted very short term, but in each case, my BG levels tell me differently.
It's consistent too. It's not an isolated incident.
Anyone else experienced this? Or, have an explanation as to why it happens? Answers on a postcard please
